Day 1 Costa Rica

J met us at the San Jose airport and drove us to the town of Sierpe where we spent our first night as guests of Osa Paradise the newest hotel Sierpe. Osa Paradise is a very modern hotel with a pool, restraunt, beautiful rooms and wireless internet. We started our day at the town of Sierpe and traveled down the river by boat  out to the ocean, The mangrove forest was an adventure and we saw several caiman. Once to the pacific we started fishing inshore and the day went well with Spanish Mackeral and Rooster fish biting. Then we had a wild surf ride onto the beach at Poorman's Paradise. The resort is very pretty and built on a remote beach. Our host here is Aldea Del Rio Sportfishing and we are having a blast.

Heaven - Corlane's gun shop

Just spent two days with Rod and his staff at Corlane's in Dawson Creek. Very good people who know their stuff. I'm very impressed with not only their skill level and knowledge but their very personable service. Very friendly.
Their work will show up in my writing from time to time as their ability to produce high quality rifles and services as well as answer questions is an assert that every gun writer dreams of having nearby.
While Greg worked on my project gun, Travis took the time to get me these photos. Shot through a bore scope they show the results of too many over bore loads from a Lazeronni Warbird.
